What is the Victories for Veterans Challenge?

The Victories for Veterans Challenge is an online fitness challenge benefiting DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Participants register then set personal fitness and fundraising goals and track their progress with our very easy-to-use online tools. By completing the challenge and achieving your goals you can help raise funds and awareness to create more victories for veterans.

How do I share my fundraising page with friends and family?
  1. Login to your fundraising page.
  2. Select “Dashboard” from the menu at the top.
  3. Select “Create Your Own Message” from the slideshow menu. This will let you easily send a pre-written email to all your family and friends.

You can also copy and paste your fundraising page URL into any email, text or social media posts. It's that easy!

Is there a registration fee?

Signing up for the Victories for Veterans Challenge is free! But we do encourage everyone to raise as much money as they can for DAV so we can continue to create victories for veterans of all eras. DAV helps more than 1 million veterans each year through its free program and services with the generous support of donors. Similar to 5Ks for charities, when you register, you'll get a personal website and can ask family and friends to support you in your effort to reach your personal goals for fitness and fundraising for DAV.

Where is the Victories for Veterans Challenge?

You can choose to complete your challenge activity wherever you like. Whether it's in the park, in the gym, or on the sidewalks with your friends by your side. You decide the pace and you decide the place.

What is DonorDrive and how do I use it?

DonorDrive is an online fundraising platform which you can use to collect your donations. Your fundraising page will be set up automatically when you sign up for the Victories for Veterans Challenge. You can access your page here and by entering the log in details you supplied when you signed up. There is already default language to make it easy for you to set up, but we strongly encourage you to personalize it to talk about what is inspiring you to help America's veterans.

What is the MoveSpring app and how do I use it?

MoveSpring is a fun, easy-to-use activity challenge platform. When you register for the Victories for Veterans Challenge on our website, you also have the option to join our virtual community within this app. You can join using this download link. Once you are in, you can join the challenge by adding the DAV organization code: 4DAV. You can connect to other participants in the Victories for Veterans Challenge, track your challenge and activity progress. You can also share your fundraising page to ask for donations through the app.

What should I do if someone gives me cash or check in person?

In order to ensure you receive credit for the donation, please note Victory for Veterans and your fundraising page name in the memo field of the check. We will accept cash donations but we highly discourage sending cash in the mail.

I mailed a donation but don’t see it on my donor list.

Please allow up to 2 weeks for donations to be processed.

How do I make a donation to a specific participant or team?

Go here and click on the red donate button. On the donation page, search for the name of the fundraiser. Click on the red donate button when prompted and complete the remaining steps to make your donation. You can only make a donation to the fundraiser, not the team.

Why isn’t the run total on my fundraising page updating with the minutes I have completed?

If you are having issues with your minutes showing up on your page, please contact us at fundraising@dav.org or 859-442-1340.

Is there a fundraising minimum to participate in this event?

There is no fundraising minimum to participate but we simply can’t do this without your help! We encourage all participants to reach out to family and friends and ask them to support your efforts.

How do I create a team or join an existing team?

During your registration you can create or join an existing team for the Victories for Veterans Challenge.

How do I change my activity goal or log activity?
  1. Login and select Activity Tracking from the menu.
  2. Next, edit your goal or log your activity.
  3. Make sure to click Save!
Can I register multiple people?

Yes. When you are going through registration, you will be given the option to register additional people. Anyone you register, will receive a confirmation email when you complete.

Can I change from individual to team membership?

To change your status if you've already registered follow these steps:

  1. Login and select Dashboard form the menu.
  2. Select Change Team Membership.
  3. Next, select whether you want to join a team or create your own.
Where does the money go?

Funds raised through the Victories for Veterans Challenge support DAV's mission of fulfilling our promises to the men and women who served. Just as America's service members fought for us, DAV fights for them. DAV helps over 1 million veterans each year in life-changing ways by helping them gain access to the medical, financial and educational benefits they've earned along with connecting them to meaningful employment opportunities. Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! You will receive an automated receipt, after your donation is processed; please keep a copy for your records.

How do I get a copy of my donation receipt?

If a receipt was not emailed to you or you need an additional copy, login to your account and select the "Donations Given" tab. There you will be able to view all your donations and download a copy of your receipt. How can I see who has donated to me?

Visit victoriesforveterans.com and sign into your account. Click view donations received from the top right menu options and then the list of donations as well as contributor name will appear.
